We are trying to take green packaging to the maximum. We are using glass, aluminium and plant-based plastic. They are all recyclable. You can also leave the labels on as they are biodegradable!
And outside packaging? Is it necessary? Sure, it's great for instructions and information but we have all of that on the website - check out the product pages. So, we think additional packaging just creates additional waste. Got to cut that crap out.
We didn’t stop there. Parcels, envelopes, flyers and stickers are all made out of recycled material. And check this. The ink used on flyers is vegetable based and our box tape is made out of paper, which means you can leave it on your boxes to be recycled.
Our foam filler isn’t really foam. It’s made from vegetables! This means it’s biodegradable and compostable! They fully dissolve into water, watch our video or do the test at home.
The use of palm oil is extremely controversial. And rightly so. Deforestation has led to a loss of wildlife and has put animals on the brink of extinction.
But the issues surrounding palm oil production are complex. Due to many reasons, even Greenpeace has stopped short at calling for a complete boycott.
That's why we have modelled our palm oil policy on RSPO. Simply put, we don't use dirty palm oil in our Moustache Styling Wax (the only product in our range with palm oil). The palm oil is certified organic and sustainable, originating from a farm on the RSPO member list.
We know the global economy allows businesses to import and distribute products that are socially irresponsible. This is something we don't want a part in. All our products are made in the UK by hand, reducing our carbon footprint. Our partners source ingredients properly and fairly.
It's all about cutting the crap.
This isn't where our approach to sustainability ends. cut.le.crap is not into green washing.
We have put together a Sustainability Statement that outlines our present and future plans to become a more sustainable, ethical and good for the planet business.
